「生物多様性公開シンポジウムin名古屋」において当社グループの生物多様性への取組み内容を報告
「メッセナゴヤ2010」において「生き物に関わるエコとわざコンクール」の住友ゴム賞を表彰
住友ゴム工業(株)は、10月30日(土)、名古屋市で開催された「メッセナゴヤ2010」注1において、エコ・ファースト推進協議会が主催した「生き物に関わるエコとわざコンクール」表彰式の中で住友ゴム賞の表彰を行ないました。
注1 生物多様性条約第10回締約国会議(COP10)連携事業として10月27日(水)～30日(土)の4日間にわたり「環境・エネルギー」をテーマにポートメッセなごやにて開催されました。

「エコ・ファースト」の約束

業界トップランナーとして「エコ・ファースト」の約束に着実に取り組んでいきます
|
2009年3月、住友ゴムグループは、環境省が制度化している「エコ・ファースト企業」に認定されました。この制度は、環境保全活動の促進を目的に、各業界のトップランナー企業を「エコ・ファースト企業」として認定するもので、認定に際しては環境大臣と「約束」を取り交わします。
当社グループは、「地球温暖化防止」「循環型社会の形成」「環境配慮商品の開発」の3つについて先進的な活動の実践を約束し、着実に取り組みを進めています。
2010年5月にエコ・ファースト第4回フォローアップ会議が開催され、三野社長（当時）から小沢環境大臣へ当社の活動の進捗報告を行いました。この中で、すべての約束は計画通りに進捗している旨の報告を行いました。
