Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. is pleased to announce the launch of DUNLOP “SPORT MAXX RS,” our new flagship tires for premium vehicles that achieve handling performance and grip at high levels. Available in 26 sizes and featuring open prices, these new tires will go on sale in June firstly within Japan.
SPORT MAXX RS tires enable driving on an ordinary road to a racing circuit and achieve stable driving in any speed range as it reliably responds to the driver's steering. With their superior grip, the tires offer a grip on the road surface to the maximum, thus providing excellent cornering stability. Moreover, the tires not only have a high dry performance but have the highest possible ratings for wet grip performance under Japan’s tire labeling system (a) for all sizes as well; therefore, they allow the car to exert its performance on all road surfaces. As for the design, these tires give a luxurious and a powerful impact thanks to our popular “Nano Black*,” a proprietary design technique that adds extremely fine ridges to the brand and product names on the tire sidewall to suppress the reflection of light for a deeper shade of black that is sure to catch the eye.

[About the EXTRA LOAD Standard]
This standard designates tires that have been designed for higher pressure and load capacity compared with tires of the same size designed to other standards (JATMA, ETRTO, etc.). As such, EXTRA LOAD tires have a higher load index than other tires of the same size. In addition, in order to maintain this enhanced load capacity, EXTRA LOAD tires may also require higher internal pressure than other tires of the same size.
