Announcing the 2016 DUNLOP Motorsports Activity Schedule

March 18, 2016

Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. is pleased to announce that the 2016 DUNLOP Motorsports Activity Schedule has been finalized. This year, we will continue to provide high-performance tires to top competitors participating in races in various categories throughout Japan and the world with the aim of contributing to the growing popularity of motorsports while at the same time further enhancing the global value of the DUNLOP brand.

1.Four-Wheel Motorsports Activities
In Japan, we will focus our activities primarily on the ever-popular SUPER GT Race Series, providing tires for five vehicles on four different racing teams, including EPSON NAKAJIMA RACING in the GT500 Class and GAINER, last year's champions (both driver and team) in the GT300 Class, as well as R&D SPORT and Audi Team Hitotsuyama.
In addition to SUPER GT Race Series, we will also provide tires for races in a wide range of categories, including the All-Japan Gymkhana Championship, the All-Japan Dirt Trial Championship, the All-Japan Rally Championship, the All-Japan Karting Championship and other competitions with the aim of racking up tournament titles for vehicles equipped with DUNLOP tires in all racing classes. At the same time, in order to further broaden the appeal of motorsports, we will also be providing tires for such entry-level races as the FIA-F4 Championship, the F4 Championship and the X30 Challenge Japan.
In overseas four-wheel motorsports, we will provide one-make racing tires for the "V8 Supercars Championship," Australia's most popular and exciting touring car race.

2.Two-Wheel Motorsports Activities
In Japan, we will support top teams and riders in the All Japan Road Race Championship, as well as the All Japan Motocross Championship, the All-Japan Dirt Trial Championship and the Japan Enduro Championship with the aim of racking up tournament titles for vehicles equipped with DUNLOP tires. Moreover, we will also be providing tires to eight different teams competing in the world-standard EWC Class at the Suzuka 8 Hours, the third race in the FIM Endurance World Championship and the largest motorbike race in all of Japan.
In overseas two-wheel motorsports, we will provide one-make racing tires for the Moto2 and Moto3 Classes at the FIM Grand Prix World Championship, the world's premier motorbike racing tournament. In the motocross category, we are aiming to win in all classes at the AMA Supercross Championship for the seventh consecutive year and also to claim the championship at this year's MXGP.
In addition, we will also be providing our SPORTMAX alpha-13SP production racing sports radial tires, which we launched this March, as one-make racing tires for the JP250 Class at the MFJ CUP here in Japan and for the AP250 and Asia Dream Cup Classes at the Asia Road Racing Championship overseas.
