Sumitomo Rubber Industries is pleased to announce that, through our global FALKEN brand, we will be sponsoring the promotion/relegation playoffs*1 of the German Bundesliga professional football league as well as the 2016 DFL-Supercup championship match.
Under our recent sponsorship agreement, FALKEN will be the official tire partner for all four of the German Bundesliga professional football league promotion/relegation playoff matches for the 2015-2016 season, which are scheduled to be held from this coming Thursday, May 19 to Tuesday, May 24, as well as the DFL-Supercup championship match in mid-August, which will pit the league champion of the Bundesliga against the winner of the German Cup*2 in an exciting prelude to the 2016-2017 season. We will continue working to promote and enhance the image of the FALKEN brand through our cooperation with the German Football League, including advertising signage on the field and commercials during the aforementioned matches, in addition to our continuing premium sponsorship of the 1. Bundesliga football club "FC Ingolstadt 04."*3
As one of the global brands of the Sumitomo Rubber Group, FALKEN has won widespread acclaim and a loyal following through our efforts to equip our advanced tires as factory standard on high-performance vehicles as well as our active participation in motorsports and other high-octane activities. Since last year, FALKEN has had a premium sponsorship agreement with FC Ingolstadt 04, a football club competing in the German 1. Bundesliga professional football league.
