Sumitomo Rubber Group's Turkey Factory Receives ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Certification

Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. is pleased to announce that our tire manufacturing and sales subsidiary in Turkey, Sumitomo Rubber AKO Lastik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S., has received certification in the ISO 14001:2004 Standard (Environmental Management System) and the OHSAS 18001:2007 Standard (Occupational Health and Safety Management System).
Our Turkey Factory is the 35th facility in the Sumitomo Rubber Group to receive certification in the ISO 14001 Standard and the 14th to do so outside of Japan. In 2017, our Turkey Factory plans to update its certification to the newer ISO 14001:2015 Standard and to join the roster of facilities included in our group's Global Joint Certification. Our Turkey Factory is also the 13th facility in our group to receive certification in the OHSAS 18001 Standard and the 9th to do so outside Japan.
