DUNLOP Concludes a Partnership with Goodwood Revival: Aiming to Enhance Brand Value Through Historic Motor Sport Event
Jun. 22. 2026
DUNLOP (Company name: Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd.; President and CEO: Yasuaki Kuniyasu) is pleased to announce that we concluded a partnership with Goodwood Revival,*1 a worldwide motor sport event. The new partnership was built based on our relationship with Goodwood as a sponsor that goes back to early years of the opening of the circuit. Through the collaboration, we will carry out various activities for a maximum period of three years to enhance DUNLOP brand value.
The Goodwood Revival, to be held at the Goodwood Circuit*2 in England from September 18 to 20, 2026 will have an exhibition booth with an area of approximately 600 m2 and VIP facilities as well as the exhibition of the Ford GT40*3 equipped with DUNLOP tires. At the exhibition booth, there will be a display of three 1966 Ford GT40s, which will be equipped with DUNLOP racing tires and compete in a race.
■ Comment by Charles Gordon-Lennox, 11th Duke of Richmond
“It is extremely fitting that Dunlop, one of the original partners of the Goodwood Motor Circuit, back in 1948, is to become
the very first presenting partner of Revival. Their history, not only with the event and Goodwood overall, but also as a pre-eminent tyre manufacturer and innovator for well over a century makes them the perfect brand to become our first partner of this standing. We are absolutely delighted to have them onboard.”
■ Comment by Yasuaki Kuniyasu, President and CEO of DUNLOP (Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd.)
“This partnership is an extremely important initiative that plays a central role in our brand strategy. Building on the shared heritage of DUNLOP and Goodwood, both of which have roots in England, we will work together with mutual respect to disseminate the value of the event and the appeal of motor sports to the world. We will strive to further evolve the brand and enhance its value.”
Since the early years of the opening of the Goodwood Circuit (1948 to 1966), DUNLOP has been involved in the event as a sponsor in Goodwood. The partnership is one of our key initiatives as we expand business in the European market after the acquisition of the DUNLOP brand in 2025.*4 We will continue to strengthen business expansion largely in Europe and to contribute to the development of classic car culture.
Since 2026, we have unified all communication under the DUNLOP name. We aim to embody three core values across all of our products and services: “Confidence to Face Every Challenge,” “Experiences that Exceed Expectations,” and “Pushing Beyond Limits.” We will continue pursuing our goal of creating positive emotion through innovative experiences for people all over the world. DUNLOP’s brand statement, “TAKING YOU BEYOND,” reflects our commitment to continually expanding the possibilities for all those who embrace challenges and guiding them beyond their limits.
