As part of the global expansion of our tyre business, we entered into a joint venture with Sumitomo Corporation to establish a new local tyre sales corporation in the Commonwealth of Australia, with the aim of strengthening our sales of replacement tyres in the Australian consumer market. SRAU began operating in March of 2015.
 At the opening ceremony, President Ikeda of SRI said, "Sumitomo Rubber Australia shall strengthen the sale activity by offering the new products that will be attractive to the Australian market. Sumitomo Rubber Australia's Mission Statement is to become the Most Respected Tyre Company in Australia."
 SRAU will strive to improve customer satisfaction while expanding sales of replacement tyres in Australia through various sales and franchising activities and by introducing new products with a keen grasp of local market needs.
