In keeping with the sporty image of our FALKEN brand, Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. is proud to sponsor Yoshihide Muroya, the only race pilot from Asia competing in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship. And now, we are pleased to announce that Mr. Muroya, flying for Team FALKEN, has placed third in the fifth race of the tournament, which was held this past August 15-16 weekend at the Ascort Racecourt in Berkshire, England.

Yoshihide Muroya is an outstanding pilot whose hard-won skills have taken him to competitions around the world while earning him wide recognition on the global stage. Meanwhile, FALKEN is a brand that is well-known in North America, Europe and, now, around the world for its high-performance tires, developed using the latest cutting-edge technologies. Recognizing the strong compatibility between this remarkable pilot and FALKEN's brand image, Sumitomo Rubber Industries was pleased to sign a sponsorship agreement with Mr. Muroya, through which we have supported his air racing activities since the second race of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship, which was held this May in Chiba, Japan.
At Ascort, having placed fifth among fourteen pilots in the preliminaries on the 15th, Mr. Muroya made it through the first two rounds of the main event with flying colors on the 16th, earning himself a spot in the "Final 4" for the final round. And then, he finished the final round with the third best time among the Final 4 pilots to stand on the podium the first time this season. With three races left in the season, we are looking forward to seeing even greater success from Mr. Muroya in the coming months.
