Competing from the second race of the season (San Diego, USA) in a racing plane decked out in brand new FALKEN Motorsports colors, Mr. Muroya won that race and the race that followed (Chiba, Japan) -giving him his first ever consecutive wins. In this year's Red Bull Air Race World Championship, Mr. Muroya achieved his personal best 4 wins in a single season, which paved his way to ultimate glory as the first ever Series Champion from Asia.
