DUNLOP “SP SPORT MAXX 050” Selected as Factory Standard Tires for the New NISSAN ARIYA Crossover EV

Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. is pleased to announce that we have begun supplying our high-performance DUNLOP SP SPORT MAXX 050 to Nissan Motor Corporation for use as factory standard tires on their ARIYA crossover electric vehicle (EV).


As a crossover EV for a whole new era of mobility, the NISSAN ARIYA serves as the flagship vehicle of Nissan Intelligent Mobility.
Meanwhile, our latest DUNLOP SP SPORT MAXX 050 incorporate advanced new compounds developed using our proprietary ADVANCED 4D NANO DESIGN new materials development technology*1 as well as our SILENT CORE (specialized noise-absorbing sponge) technology*2 in order to provide unparalleled on-road performance when it comes to maneuverability, riding comfort and quiet driving. At the same time, these SUV tires also go the extra mile for the environment, featuring reduced overall tire weight in order to provide exceptional fuel efficiency.

*1. ADVANCED 4D NANO DESIGN
This groundbreaking technology allows for dynamic analysis and simulation of the internal structures of rubber with very high precision from the micron scale down to the nanometer scale in order to achieve simultaneous improvements in all three of the inherently contrary key tire performance traits: Fuel Efficiency, Grip and Wear Resistance.

*2. SILENT CORE (Specialized Noise-Absorbing Sponge) Technology
This proprietary technology absorbs noise caused by air vibration inside of tires in order to provide exceptional quiet driving performance.
