DUNLOP “GRANDTREK” Series Selected as Factory Standard Tires for Toyota’s LEXUS LX

DUNLOP (Company name: Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd.; President and CEO: Yasuaki Kuniyasu) is pleased to announce that it has begun supplying its SUV tires GRANDTREK H/T31 and GRANDTREK H/T31T for use as standard tires on the LEXUS LX, which underwent a model year update in October.

As a LEXUS flagship SUV, the LEXUS LX combines supreme off-road performance with refined driving comfort, delivering confidence and comfort on any road conditions across the globe. The latest model year update improves ride comfort and handling stability, further refining its ride quality and ensuring confident handling across a variety of road surfaces.
The new OVERTRAIL+ features larger tires, increased from 265/65R18 to 265/70R18, along with greater minimum ground clearance, for improved off-road capability on challenging terrain. The newly added F SPORT grade delivers a more exhilarating, sporty driving experience while its design pursues a look that is both powerful and sleek.
The GRANDTREK series, DUNLOP’s tires for SUVs, has long been used for Toyota’s SUVs, and has built excellent reliability and durability over the years. The GRANDTREK H/T31 tire, which is now featured on the F SPORT, strikes a balance between quietness, high fuel efficiency, and anti-wear performance at a high level by using a highway terrain (H/T) pattern* and new tread rubber. In addition, we used “Nano Black,” which is our unique design technique for deeper black coloring, for brand logos on tire sidewalls to improve their visibility and to give tires a more luxurious overall design aesthetic. The GRANDTREK H/T31T that is to be used for the OVERTRAIL+, meanwhile, features improved on-road performance and combines ride comfort and strength that is required to support the substantial body of the LEXUS LX. With an exclusive sidewall design that emphasizes toughness and presence, the tire conveys the boldness of an SUV and a refined off-road aesthetics.
